Horses have always been a part of my life. I have a dream to work with them and to understand them better. My ambition to start working with horses began through an introduction to 'natural horsemanship' with my own horse where I was searching for a solution to the dangerous behaviour I was experiencing. It opened my mind about why a horses can demonstrate certain behaviours - mostly due to fear and pain. Now seeing horse behaviour in a new light, and I began looking at what was causing their pain; and in what capacity I could help. So my journey to become an Equine Therapist started.
I have achieved a Sports Massage Certificate and a Diploma in Equine Therapeutic Acupuncture. I am continuing my education with a university degree in Equine Science, where I aim to better understand biomechanics and exercise physiology for the development of muscle management and rehabilitation programmes. Equinic Performance Therapies is based in the Hunter Valley.
